This Privacy Policy explains how the CFI Prep app (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles your information. We built this App to be private by design: we do not collect, store, sell, or share any personal data.
Summary — Data Not Collected
The App does not collect personal information. There is no account, no login, no sign-up, and no user tracking. All of your study data (progress, mastery, streaks, bookmarks, mock-exam history, and settings) is stored only on your device and never leaves it.
Information We Do NOT Collect
- No name, email address, phone number, or contacts.
- No location data.
- No photos, camera, or microphone access.
- No advertising identifiers and no tracking across apps or websites.
- No usage analytics collected by us. There are no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in the App.
On-Device Data
Your study progress and preferences are saved locally using Apple’s on-device storage (SwiftData and UserDefaults). This information stays on your device and is removed if you delete the App or use “Delete All On-Device Data” in Settings.
Optional Notifications
If you choose to enable the optional daily study reminder, the App schedules a local notification on your device using Apple’s notification system. No notification data is transmitted to us or any third party. You can turn reminders off any time in the App’s Settings or in iOS Settings.
Purchases
Subscriptions and the one-time Lifetime purchase are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. We never see or receive your payment details or Apple ID. Apple’s handling of your purchase is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Children’s Privacy
The App is rated 4+ and does not collect any data from anyone, including children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Data Security
Because your data never leaves your device, it is protected by your device’s own security. We hold no servers or databases containing your information.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
