Your privacy matters. EPA 608 Prep: HVAC Practice (the “App”) is built to be privacy-first: it works fully offline, requires no account, and collects no personal information about you. This policy explains what that means.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

  • We do not require you to create an account or sign in.
  • We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or location.
  • We do not use advertising, ad networks, or any cross-app/website tracking.
  • We do not use third-party analytics or marketing SDKs.
  • Data is not used to track you.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

Your study data — quiz results, flashcard progress, spaced-repetition schedule, mock-exam history, streaks, and bookmarks — is stored only on your device. We cannot see it. You can erase all of it at any time in Settings → Delete All My Data, or by deleting the App.

3. Optional iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud Sync (in Settings), your study progress is synced through your own private Apple iCloud account so it stays consistent across your devices. This data lives in your personal iCloud and is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. The developer has no access to your iCloud data. You can turn iCloud Sync off at any time.

4. Purchases

Subscriptions and the one-time Lifetime purchase are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. We never see or store your payment card details. The App receives only an anonymous purchase/entitlement status from Apple to unlock content. Purchase handling is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

5. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for general audiences preparing for a professional certification and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Because we do not collect or store your personal data on any server, there is no personal profile to access, correct, sell, or delete. We never sell or share personal data — we don’t have any. You remain in full control: delete your on-device data in Settings → Delete All My Data, or remove the App entirely.

7. Data Security

Because your data stays on your device (and optionally in your own iCloud), it benefits from your device’s built-in security. No study data is transmitted to the developer.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
