CFI Prep helps you prepare for the three FAA flight-instructor knowledge tests — FOI (Fundamentals of Instructing), CFI/FIA (Flight Instructor – Airplane), and CFII/FII (Flight Instructor – Instrument) — with 3,000+ original practice questions, detailed explanations, full-length timed mock exams, flashcards, spaced-repetition review, and progress analytics. Everything works offline. No account or sign-up is required.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is a purchase required?
You can try a free sample quiz for free. Full access to the complete question bank, mock exams, flashcards, and analytics requires a subscription (Monthly or Yearly) or a one-time Lifetime purchase.
How do I subscribe?
Open the App, finish the short onboarding, then tap “See plans” (or “Skip — see plans”) to open the subscription screen. Choose Monthly, Yearly, or Lifetime and confirm with your Apple Account.
How do I restore a purchase?
Tap Restore Purchases on the subscription screen, or go to Settings ▸ Subscription ▸ Restore Purchases inside the App.
How do I cancel or manage my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your device, go to Settings ▸ [your name] ▸ Subscriptions ▸ CFI Prep, then change or cancel. Canceling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the paid period.
How do free trials work?
If a free trial is offered on the Yearly plan, you won’t be charged until the trial ends. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid a charge. Any unused trial time is forfeited if you upgrade to a paid plan early.
Do you offer refunds?
All purchases are handled by Apple. Refund requests are made through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. The entire question bank ships inside the App, so all study modes work with no internet connection.
Is my data private?
Yes. The App collects no personal data. All progress is stored only on your device. See our Privacy Policy.
I found a question I think is wrong.
Tap the “•••” menu on any question and choose Report a Problem — it opens a pre-filled email to us with the question ID. We review every report.
Is this app affiliated with the FAA?
No. CFI Prep is an independent study aid and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Federal Aviation Administration. Always confirm current requirements with official FAA sources.
