Frequently asked questions

How are my period and ovulation predictions calculated?

Predictions are computed entirely on your device using the cycles you log. As you record more periods, the app measures your average cycle and period length and forecasts your next period, estimated ovulation and fertile window. The more you log, the more accurate it gets. Predictions are estimates and shouldn't be used as a sole method of contraception.

Is my data really private?

Yes. There is no account and no cloud. Everything you log stays on your iPhone and is never uploaded to us or anyone else. We have no servers that receive your data, and the app contains no ads, analytics or trackers. See our Privacy Policy.

What's included in Premium, and how much is it?

Everyday tracking and predictions are free. Premium unlocks themes and accent colors, basal body temperature logging and charts, and data export. It's an auto-renewable subscription with a 7-day free trial: $4.99/month or $39.99/year (prices may vary by region).

How do I restore my Premium purchase?

Open the app, go to Settings → Premium → Restore purchases, or tap “Restore” on the Premium screen. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your iPhone open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, choose Private Period Tracker, and tap Cancel. If you cancel during the free trial you won't be charged.

Can I export or back up my data?

Yes. In Settings → Data → Export data (CSV) you can export everything you've logged. Because your data is stored only on your device, we recommend exporting a backup periodically. You can re-import a CSV in Settings → Data → Import data.

How do I move my data to a new iPhone?

The simplest way is an encrypted iTunes/Finder or iCloud device backup, which restores the app's local data to your new phone. Alternatively, export a CSV from the old device and import it on the new one.

How do I turn on the Face ID lock?

Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → App Lock and enable it. The app will then require Face ID or Touch ID (or your passcode) each time you open it.

I logged the wrong day — how do I fix or delete it?

Tap the day in the Calendar (or open it from History) to edit it, or use “Clear this day”. To remove everything, use Settings → Data → Delete all data.
